VOICES THAT DESERVE A SEAT AT THE TABLE

Meet John Moore, a formerly incarcerated New Yorker who spent 32 years inside the prison system and is now using his platform to expose serious corrections issues, challenge misconceptions, and give viewers an honest look at the realities of prison life in New York State.
Through his videos, John draws upon decades of firsthand experience to explain how the system operates, what incarcerated people experience, and what the public often doesn’t understand.

These are precisely the kinds of voices New York State needs at the table when discussing meaningful corrections reform.
Our own Publisher has lived experience within NYS DOCCS, and we understand the value of hearing from people who have turned their lives around but once wore those prison greens. They bring knowledge that cannot be acquired simply by reading reports, reviewing statistics, or listening to government officials.

New York has an opportunity to draw upon that experience when examining the failures of its correctional system and developing meaningful solutions.

We appreciate what John is doing and encourage our readers to explore his videos, hear his perspective, and join the conversation.
Real reform requires more than politicians, administrators, and consultants talking among themselves. It requires listening to people who know the system from the inside.

    What say you, America?
